WHAT TO WEAR ON YOUR POST PANDEMIC VACAY

It’s 2021, there is a vaccine, our future is looking BRIGHT! And global! Everyone is antsy to get out if town and it’s almost that time!! But what do we wear?!?!

I got you girl! I recently went on a trip to Ensenada Mexico for a work retreat and had the most amazing, relaxing, long weekend! This post is dedicated to the cute outfits I wore while on this much needed vacation! I hope they inspire you for your next trip!

*yes we were as Covid compliant as possible!*

OUTFIT 1: Travel Time

This is my new favorite sweatshirt from Rebel Soul (a female owned small business) and it is PERFECT for traveling! It does a great job at keeping you comfy and getting the point across! *I also paired this sweatshirt with a blazer and booties to dress it up for work!* The possibilities are endless and the sass is REAL! I wore it with a basic tank, Levi's, and my fave Sorel sneakers for a comfortable 5 hour drive.

OUTFIT 2: White Out

I love the look of an all white outfit with a small pop of color! In this case, my silky blue top and my bright pink lipstick 💄 I wore this on a lavender field tour in hopes of bright greens and purples but was pleasantly surprised to find desert hues that paired perfectly with my dusty blue tank. I also bought this cute hand woven basket-bag from a vendor in LA who sourced it from MEXICO! It was meant to be! My one mistake was wearing sandals on this tour. Not because of the walking but because our tour guide informed me that the little red bugs have a nasty bite that’s causes fevers! I didn’t see many or get bit, but it’s something to keep in mind!

Here is a photo of Simi & me picking some lavender! Look at the cute aprons we wore in the field!

OUTFIT 3: Cooking Class

This outfit was planned for horseback riding which got canceled so I used it for our day of cooking!! If we had gone horseback riding I would have worn my leggings for a little more stretch, and probably would have worn shoes without a four inch heel! However, the white top was a NY thrift store find layered with a tank from 27 Miles Malibu of course!

On this particular afternoon we went into downtown Ensenada and met the sweetest Mexican/Venezuelan family! They taught us how to make empanadas, arepas, and carbonara from scratch! This was honestly my favorite part of this vacation because I love meeting locals and learning about other cultures. AND food! I really loved the food! You can find the airBNB cooking class here. I also tagged them on my instagram story highlights!

Next Up!

OUTFIT 4: Brunch

This outfit was a happy accident. I found both the pants and sweater in my office the morning before we left and I am so glad I did! The sweater is from my company, 27 Miles Malibu, and matched perfectly with the neon stripe in the plaid pant. Check out my Mexico story highlights on Instagram to see what else I wore this sweater for!

OUTFIT 5: Comfy & Cozy

Vacation is all about relaxing! I made sure to bring some (work appropriate) fancy jammies so I could relax in style! There is something about a matching set of pajamas that makes me feel so luxurious even if it's just for sleeping. This matching set was purchased from a vintage/consignment boutique but it was originally from Zara!

OUTFIT 6: Something Sexy

Was this a romantic trip? Absolutely NOT! I was with my coworkers and missed my MAN so much even though I saw him just days before (Long distance is bad enough without Covid). But I used my spare time on this trip for ME! And sometimes the best way to feel like a goddess is to put on something sexy and have some self care! My robe is from Reformation and my bra (barely peeking from the top) is from Fig Leaves. My self tanning video featuring this robe is coming soon on Instagram!
